It was a bit tricky aligning the butterflies and their antennae but I got there in the end.

Dearest Lavender Block 2A |
I fussy cut the bodies and made them slimmer than the original.
Check out the other fabrics used by Karen, Cathy and Julie for ther butterflies in the Dearest Boy sew along. I now wish I had one with stripes too - oh well.

I like the fabric you put down the center of the butterflies. I too had trouble fitting the butterflies in the allotted space. I had to change the shape of the antennae a bit.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love this block? I think yours is so, so pretty!! Gorgeous!! I am finding that I have to make the patterns a little smaller with each block. Could be just me, LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove this block and it is perfect in those 30's prints!
ReplyDeleteYour block looks great—I think you nailed the placement. The cute fabrics are making me want to dig into my stash of 30’s!
ReplyDeleteFussy cutting the bodies adds to the detail of those butterflies. You got the placement just right.
ReplyDeleteVery sweet looking and a bit old fashioned too!
