I've managed to fit three of my current projects on there, AWS, Gossip in the Garden and blocks from my Value Proposition Quilt. With much inspiration and emailed instructions from Marian, hubby and I managed to make and install my very own design wall.
Before....
Clearing out the sewing room was a challenege |
Laying out the batting |
Floor to ceiling bliss! |
Yay!!! Lucky, lucky me :)
It was a bit of a struggle to construct as it took up the practically the whole floor space. I'm sure hubby was thinking 'Time for a break, time for a Kit Kat'.
I'm calling my latest Value Proposition Quilt block the Kit Kat block because of the red wrapper and chocolate brown colours.
It has also been time to get some more Antique Wedding Sampler blocks finished. I worked on this one during our latest G'nT Sisters retreat.
AWS Block #18 |
I think she's too beautiful to hang up just at Christmas time, she might have to stay up all year.
What a wonderful display wall and what a great way to start 2016! Blessings, Gretchen
ReplyDeleteI know you are going to really enjoy using your new design wall to showcase all your beautiful work. What a sweet little angel your sister gave you. She did a beautiful job.
ReplyDeleteLove the design wall. I put my own up a few years ago with the help of my sister. I used 2 sheets of roofing Styrofoam and quilt batting. I don't know how I ever lived without it.
ReplyDeleteI see there is a window right there. Be careful that the sun is not shining onto those lovely blocks for too long and fading them.
Happy new year to you
Happy New Year! As always I adore and admire your beautiful projects. Congrats on the design wall!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the design wall - lucky girl - it looks perfect with these yummy projects! You will be able to work super efficiently now. Wonderful blue AWS block - might be my favourite yet with that gorgeous broderie perse and fussy cut inner star!
ReplyDeleteLucky girl, the new design wall will be wonderful to use. Just a tad jealous, and wishing I had some vacant wall space! Your blue blocks are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome big design wall--it didn't take long to fill it up--lol! Your sister is very talented--the angel is adorable and I would leave it up all year round too. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful design wall! I'm green with envy. It's the floor or a bed top for me as I have no empty walls but I manage. I love your angel. Your sister did a wonderful job. I would keep her out year round to enjoy her.
