Castlemaine Appliqué Group exhibition

Last month my sister and I drove up to Castlemaine for this year's Appliqué Exhibition. It was great to be able to view many beautiful quilts up close and personal, so grab a cuppa to look at some that caught my attention for the fabrics, design,use of colours,skill, quilting and/or techniques.     Thank you Carole, I was going to visit this show but it was DH's birthday weekend - we went to the beach instead. Lovely quilts and so nice to see a CCCQ with a unique interpretation.

    So many beautiful quilts in the display. I can't pick a favorite but do lean toward the more traditional ones. I noticed that the quilts all seem to be machine quilted. Did you see any that were hand quilted?

      Hi Karen, yes - many of the quilts were machine quilted but there were some done by hand including the first one in this post 'Baltimore Album'. Cheers Carole

    I keep telling myself that someday I'll get to such an incredible quilt show! Nothing like that around here at all. You are so fortunate to be able to see all those beautiful quilts in person!:)
