CCCQ Block #7

This week I've finished William and Harry Clendenen's Royal Palm block for my Chester County Criswell quilt. The fabrics are from the Somerset Shirtings range by Windham.

Not feeling quite so behind now and it's great to be able to put the 6 in one picture to see how they are coming together...

I also baked a very delicious tea cake (even if I do say so myself).
Perfect with a cup of tea.

  8. First, let me say I like your header pictures. Second, nice work on your quilt block. I just got the first nine block patterns last week but have company and cannot work on any of the applique.

  9. What a fun new header on your blog and awesome Royal Palm leaf! Your work is so well done and you are making great progress on these block! I'm glad you are encouraged with your progress to date. I hope you will also find that block #7 is a fun change of pace (I enjoyed sewing it despite the flower edges.) After that, I liked #8 so much I decided to make two of them from the start! Happy Quilting!!

  11. Wow! Your quilt block is amazing! I was steaming ahead and then came across a little (puckering) problem on my latest block and it all got thrown into the naughty corner. Once the circle blocks are done I'm going to get back on it - I was already starting behind as I didn't commence until January but I love chester so much!

    Thanks for the inspiration
